I forgot to end a nap

The timer has been running since this morning. Ending it at the time they actually woke takes one tap and one correction.

Tap End nap and change the wake time to when they actually woke. The time opens filled in as now, so correcting it is part of ending it — you do not end it wrong and then fix it.

A running nap on the log screen: Napping since 11:14 AM, a large teal timer reading 1h 36m, and a green End nap button.
This is what a nap you forgot about looks like. Tap End nap.

Step by step

  1. Open baybay. The running timer is on the log screen with End nap on it.
  2. Tap End nap. A sheet opens with the wake time set to now.
  3. Change it to roughly when they woke and save.

baybay works out the length from the two times, so a nap that really ended at 2:40 is recorded as ending at 2:40 however long the phone was in another room.

A nap running since this morning

Same fix, and it is worth doing rather than deleting. Set the wake time to your best guess of when they got up — the entry is then roughly right instead of absent, which is what the charts want.

If you genuinely have no idea, delete it with the cross beside it in the list and carry on. One missing nap does not hurt anything.

Editing without ending it

Worth knowing

The pencil beside a running sleep edits it and leaves it running — use that if you started the timer twenty minutes late and want to correct the start while they are still asleep.

End nap is the one that closes it. That is the only difference between the two.

Stopping it happening

It will keep happening, and that is fine. The timer is deliberately loud on the log screen — a running clock with a mint border — so opening baybay for anything else reminds you.
