Put it on your home screen
baybay opens full screen, with no browser in the way, once you add it to your home screen. It takes about fifteen seconds.
Open your household address in your phone's browser and use Add to Home Screen. baybay then opens full screen, with no browser bar, and looks and behaves like any other app on the phone.
On an iPhone or iPad
- Open your baybay address in Safari. This does not work from Chrome on iOS.
- Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow coming out of it, at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add. The icon appears on your home screen.
On Android
- Open your baybay address in Chrome.
- Tap the three dots menu, top right.
- Tap Add to Home screen, or Install app if that is what it offers.
- Confirm. The icon appears with your other apps.
Why it is worth the fifteen seconds
- It opens full screen — no address bar, no tabs, more room for the two buttons you need.
- It is one tap from the home screen instead of finding a bookmark half asleep.
- You stop needing to remember the address at all.
It still needs a connection
baybay looks like an app on your home screen, but it is not one that works offline. It needs a connection to show anything or record anything, and a failed save says so rather than queueing quietly.
That is deliberate. A screen saying "last fed 20 minutes ago" that is really two hours out of date is worse at 3am than no answer at all.
Both parents can do this on their own phones, with the same address. Adding your partner.
